Selena
She is a performer, designer and a music innovator. She was at once contemporary and traditional a Mexican-American singer who brought together the two worlds in a singular way--and delivered amazing Tejano music to an affluent public. Like many times with a bright and friendly star is lost way too soon and unexpectedly, it shattered her growing profile. People mourned the entire extent of its untapped potential. In the following years, people were encouraged to push themselves harder in order to ensure that her achievements would not be forgotten. The tragic shooting death of Selena caused a reaction in the Latino Community, similar as the reaction to deaths of Elvis Presley or John Lennon. Selena was a hugely loved singer by Latinos throughout North America. But her music touched both the young and old. Selena, who was hot and flamboyant stage performer, who was often called Latina Madonna was an actress offstage. She participated in antidrug campaigns.
